Elko
Elko
Elko Speedway was opened in 1965 as a 3/8th mile banked oval track. In 1987 it became one of the first short tracks in the US to be NASCAR sanctioned, and is currently the only NASCAR Asphalt track in Minnesota. Every Saturday evening from the end of May to the end of September, approximately 10-12 races take place a night with anywhere from 90-100 drivers participating. Owned by the Ryan family since the early 2000’s, many renovations have taken place at the track, including a state of the art concourse area and grandstand that seats over 1,000 fans per night, and around 250,000 per year.
